Sorted is a delivery logistics SaaS serving M&S, ASOS, JD Sports and Dyson. I joined as Senior Content & Communications Manager and was promoted to Head of Content & Communications in March 2025. After the mid-2024 restructure I ran marketing, content and communications single-handed, with one direct report, our web designer.
I owned content and communications strategy for internal and external audiences – editorial planning, briefing, production and approvals – and brought PR and SEO in-house from agencies. My prospect decks, case studies and proposal narratives, written for multi-stakeholder buying committees, supported £600K of sales pipeline, per HubSpot pipeline reporting.
I led communications through an acquisition, an AIM listing and two restructuring programmes: manager talking points, all-hands messages, FAQs and market announcements, timed so staff heard news before or alongside the market. Employee engagement held at 80% in the People Ops survey.
I proposed moving the website from WordPress to Framer. My web designer built it through 2025, the business launched it after we'd both left, and it's now Sorted's live website.
80+ thought-leadership articles. 49 external and 33 internal newsletters. Two podcasts: The Sorted Post-Purchase Podcast, an external industry show, and Savvy, a 42-episode internal show for a team that rarely met in person. The 27-page Cultural Manifesto and the Personas handbook, adopted across commercial teams as the tone-of-voice and audience standards. LinkedIn engagement grew to 8.65%, with impressions up 135% and clicks up 102% in the first quarter.
"His ability to turn complex ideas into clear, meaningful stories made a real impact on how we presented ourselves as a business, and consequently helped increase our audience and engagement across multiple channels."
Lewis McLarney, People Operations Manager, Sorted
